ABOUT ME

Originally from London I spent 13 years working in Casting. This is how my ‘teaching’ journey began when in 2011 I started to give workshops to actors on Audition technique. Working as a freelance Casting Director and Associate I gave workshops across London for the Royal Shakespeare Company, the BBC and as a freelance Casting Director. My teaching experience became further enriched when I began to work as a qualified ski instructor in Switzerland in 2013 for The Villars Ski School.

However my ‘yogic’ journey began before this over fifteen years ago when I discovered Hot Yoga and started to practise in the UK’s first Bikram studios in London. I instantly fell for the concept - I found the heat made it a happy cardiovascular challenge and it felt more like exercise and less like ‘stretching.’ However after some time I found I began to need variety and started exploring other types of yoga. This eventually led me to become a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher having trained under the Fierce Grace method. Fierce Grace draws upon the Ashtanga, Hatha, Iyengar and Power Yoga disciplines. I qualified in March 2019 and not long after started teaching in Fierce Grace’s North London Studio. I completed further training in early 2020 and in June of that year moved out to Switzerland to teach yoga in Villars Sur Ollon. I also run yoga classes for the students of Aiglon and Beau Soleil College as well as offering private lessons at the Chalet RoyalAlp in either French or English.

All of these disciplines have taught me that teaching often catches students at their most vulnerable and that real teaching should aspire towards providing students with their own tools. We are not just one thing. But it is in Yoga where the biggest changes occur. When students tap into that mind body connection - hearts feel lighter and faces change. And this is a real privilege to be able to witness.
